ED notes: *The prayer Beate et gloriose is repeated at the end of all hours after a likewise repeated antiphon following the regular collect. OD: 14-72-24 32-57-28 68-82-38 (KO p.112-114)
Variants: No book of hours after Carmelite use is known to me. The use was perhaps reserved members of the order, and books for the lay parish edited after the local use. The fragments of the Horae printed for the Carmelites in Ghent by Arend de Keysere c.1487-1488, has left sufficient parts of the hours of the Virgin, to show that it followed Roman use. A detailed reconstruction will appear soon on this site under Incunabula.
