*The text is written in a very archaic medieval french dialect, difficult to read and understand, even for a modern French scholar. The editorial problems has delayed the promised transcription. Here is a raw transcript sample from folio 1, to illustrate the style of the language (sounds more like a conservative Queebecquoi dialect to me!):
Quant nostre sires, nostre saviours ihesu crist pur le sauvement de tout le mounde pendait en la crois fichiez de cloux, il vit sa miere estant ioste la croiz et iehan levangeliste qil amoit devant toutz les autres plus especialment. Pur ce que cil seus estoit virges de cors, filij dona la cure de sa mere garder et si dit: voizci ta mere et ele li dit: voizci toun fitz. Et tres ce le eure en avant fu la seinte mere deu en la cure et en la garde iehan levangeliste, tant come ele fu en ceste temporel vie. Et quant li apostres furent departie par le monde par sort pur precher et convertir le genz a la foi ihesu crist. Nostre dame demora en la meson del pere et de la mere saint iehan ioste mont olivet, et ele se conta an apres ce qe nostre sires ot suffert passioun, et qil fut mountez el ciel nostre dame seint marie//
